AI automation for Australian businesses
AI receptionists, admin automation and lead pipelines for trades, allied health, real estate and accounting firms in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. Delivered remotely.
What we build for Australian businesses
For businesses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, three of our services fit most often. They deal with the calls a tradie can't answer from a roof, the admin that piles up in a bookkeeping firm at month end, and the enquiries a real estate agency gets faster than it can follow up. The industries where we see this most are trades and home services, allied health and dental, real estate agencies, accounting and bookkeeping firms, and logistics.
An AI receptionist for trades, clinics and agencies
An AI voice agent picks up every inbound call, answers the common questions, works out whether it is a real job, and books it into your calendar or job system or passes it to a person. Every call is transcribed and logged. For plumbers, electricians, builders and cleaners, it means fewer jobs lost to voicemail; our home services page shows how it works. For physios, dentists and other allied health practices, it handles booking and rescheduling calls so the front desk can look after the patient in front of them; see medical practices. The system does admin only, never clinical decisions. Our guide to an AI receptionist for home-services companies is written for the US, but the pattern applies in Australia just the same.
Admin that runs itself
AI workflow automation takes over the jobs someone does by hand every week. In accounting and bookkeeping firms that means chasing client documents, sorting what comes in, and preparing entries for review in Xero or MYOB. For logistics businesses it means reading delivery dockets and supplier invoices with document processing AI instead of retyping them. A person still reviews anything the system is unsure about. Our guide to automating invoice data entry shows how that review step works.
A lead pipeline that follows up for you
An AI lead pipeline pulls enquiries from your website, portals, ads and email into one place. Each lead gets one owner, follow-ups are reminded and escalated when they slip, and you can see where leads drop off. In a real estate agency, that means every appraisal request and open-home enquiry gets a reply and a next step. For a trades business, it means quotes get chased instead of forgotten.
Client story · Kamai Elevators
Kamai Elevators, an elevator company working across four cities, had its Meta ad leads landing in a WhatsApp group. We replaced it with one lead pipeline: automatic intake, one owner per lead, escalating follow-ups, a duplicate-quote check and in-app calling. Since go-live: 70% better operational efficiency, against a 30% target set by the founder. Kamai is not an Australian business; the pattern is the same.

The tools we connect to
We build around what you already run; nothing gets ripped out. In Australia that usually means Xero, or MYOB, for the books; ServiceM8, Tradify or simPRO for trades job management; Cliniko or Halaxy in allied health; REX or Agentbox in real estate agencies; and HubSpot in sales-led teams. Our integration work connects them so a booking, a job or an invoice moves between systems without someone copying it by hand. On the first call we check what your setup exposes, so the plan matches what your tools can actually do.
How remote delivery works
We don't have an office in Australia. Everything runs online:
- A free 30-minute discovery call, at a time that suits both sides. We look at how the work moves today and where it slows down.
- A scoped proposal with what we would build, the number it should move and the price, which we can quote in AUD. No obligation.
- Build around your tools. We connect to the accounting, job management, CRM and phone systems you already use. Most systems go live in 30 to 60 days, including testing and onboarding your team over video.
- Measure and tune. Live reporting against the agreed number. You own the code and the data.
The work is led hands-on by our founder, Thoufic, with engineers who have built and shipped products at leading technology companies.
Time zones, honestly
Our team works from India on India Standard Time (UTC+5:30). Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane are four and a half hours ahead of us on AEST, and Sydney and Melbourne are five and a half hours ahead during daylight saving. That means your morning is very early in India, and our working day lines up with your afternoon. In practice, calls, check-ins and reviews happen after lunch your time. Perth is only two and a half hours ahead, so the overlap there covers most of the day. The AI system itself runs around the clock; our people do not, and we won't pretend otherwise. If something has to happen in your morning, such as a go-live, tell us early and we'll plan it together. More in working with a remote AI team across time zones.
Language
Our systems are built English-first, which fits most Australian businesses and their customers. If many of your callers or patients prefer another language, raise it on the first call and we'll tell you plainly what is achievable for your use case.
Privacy and outbound rules in Australia
The Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles set how personal information is collected, used, secured and sent overseas. Many small businesses with an annual turnover of $3 million or less are exempt, but there are exceptions, including any business that provides a health service. The Privacy and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2024 added a statutory tort for serious invasions of privacy and, from 10 December 2026, requires privacy policies to explain automated decisions that significantly affect people. Calls, transcripts and patient bookings are personal information, and our team works from India, so we agree on the first call where data is stored, who on our side can see it, and how long it is kept.
If a system sends texts or emails, the Spam Act 2003 requires consent, clear identification of the sender and a working unsubscribe. Outbound marketing calls must also respect the Do Not Call Register. Most of what we build for Australian clients handles inbound calls and enquiries, and anything outbound is scoped with these rules in mind. Take your own legal advice on what applies to you.

FAQ
Common questions
Does Flange have an office in Australia?
No. Flange delivers remotely. Discovery calls, the build, testing and team onboarding all run online, for businesses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and the rest of Australia.
Can you build an AI receptionist for a trades business?
Yes. Flange builds AI voice agents that answer inbound calls while you are on the tools, handle common questions, qualify the job and book it, with every call logged to your job management or CRM system.
Do you work with Xero, MYOB and ServiceM8?
Yes. We build around the tools you already use, including Xero, MYOB, ServiceM8, Tradify, simPRO, HubSpot, Cliniko and Halaxy. On the first call we check what your setup exposes, so the plan matches what your tools can actually do.
How does the Privacy Act affect an AI system that handles customer data?
The Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles cover how personal information is collected, used, secured and sent overseas. Health service providers are covered whatever their size. We agree on the first call where data is stored and who can see it. Take your own legal advice on what applies to you.
What hours does your team work in Australian time?
Our team works on India Standard Time, four and a half hours behind Sydney (five and a half in daylight saving), so our working day overlaps with your afternoon. Perth is two and a half hours ahead of us, so the overlap there is longer.
How much does AI automation cost for an Australian business?
Flange does not publish prices. Each project is scoped after a free 30-minute discovery call, and we can quote in AUD. Cost depends mostly on how many systems it connects to, how messy the inputs are, and how much needs human review.
